UGC Guidelines on Value Added Courses
Purpose
- To enhance employability of students.
- To promote interdisciplinary and skill-based learning.

Duration & Credits
- Typically 30–60 hours.
- Equivalent to 2–4 credits (as per Choice Based Credit System – CBCS).
- Can be completed within one semester.

- Offered as add-on / certificate courses in addition to the main curriculum.
